Responsabilities in this role included

As a Producer, Director, Writer, Editor and Marketing Manager:

Generating and developing innovative content for new original Martial Arts and Action movies, creating and defining a unique style filled with action, comedy and numerous pop culture elements.

Sourcing prospective contributors professionals to work and collaborate in the project getting a very small monetary retribution. Choosing the crew and the creative team. Scouting locations and deciding the film set during pre prod.

Revising and creating the cinematographic aspect of the film and conveying the movie´s style to the crew.

Creating a detailed plan of action for production in Valencia and Madrid considering everyone´s issues, adapting everyone´s schedule so the team could work together. Coordinating staff on set, directing the shooting timetables and ensuring deadlines are met. Budget allocation and expenditure. Casting Management and operations.

Directing a team of 45 people. The team comprised of: Actors, Extras, Lightning team, Animators, Photography team, location collaborators, sound team, post production team and visual marketing experts. Assisting, supporting and explaining the actors the message and style of the movie assembling everyone´s talent. Selecting the appropriate music, compositors and soundtrack. Handling problems with the crew and staff. Motivating the crew constantly.

Creating and directing the movie´s Martial Arts choreography and action sequences, and teaching some of the actors how to punch, react, and take a fall.

Storyboarding every scene working hand on hand with the animator. Carefully planning every element: shooting angle, background, general color style, cameras etc. Directing the screenplay supervisions

Editing and Color correction of the movie using Sony Vegas Pro Suite and Adobe Suite CS6 Suite (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Adobe Audition). Also including some "Special Effects" to enhance the action.

Managing the internet and marketing campaigns., and designing the movie´s website (www.redfreakfighter.com). Developing extra material such as: Making of videos, Actors´ Interviews, Marketing strategies etc.

Working closely with the professional animator to develop a movie logo, card, poster etc.

Taking the leading role of the movie:

Transmitting the character´s feelings and emotions in a believable way and mastering the proper body language and non verbal acting capacities to transmit both information and feeling through the screen.
Acting on very demanding action scenes.
Understanding of the scenes and dialogues, remembering the body movements and language.
Being able to direct and play the most important character of the movie.

Achievements in this role included

As a Producer, Director and Marketing Manager:

Developed and Created an exciting 40 min. Full HD movie which was selected in several movie festivals and was acclaimed to have a very original and innovative script, distinguishing itself from the rest of Spanish short movies. Compared with the rest of Independent Spanish short movie productions, youtube trailer and social media activity proved being quite successful.
Developed a dynamic "Pop corn Style" script that doesn´t allow the audience to take their eyes off the movie screen.
Proved being able to go from "idea" to "reality". Drove the movie concept, creating an structured, dynamic and original cinematographic style. Got very good critics praises on the acting and character´s development on the movie.
Developed more than 60 min on extra material including interviews, making of videos, marketing campaigns etc.
Choreographed some of the best Martial Arts Action Scenes on Spanish Action Movie history.
Improved managerial skills by directing a team of people with a very limited pay and successfully directed the team to work on 12 different locations under difficult circumstances Gained ability on working under stressful conditions.
Proved working with an extremely limited budget, balancing income and expenditure perfectly.
Gained excellent working knowledge on how to storyboard and plan every scene, proving also shot composition knowledge on every shot. Got positive praises also on casting the proper actors to portray each character.

As a Producer, Director, Writer, Editor and Marketing Manager:

Developing the first Valencia Martial Arts short movie. Writing an original screenplay.

Sourcing prospective contributors and collaborators willing to work in a newcomer´s project.

Creating a detailed plan of action and timetable for production in Valencia, organizing the post production schedule and budget allocation and expenditure. Conveying the movie´s idea and style to the crew.

As a director I would make key decisions on a daily basis managing a team of 25 people comprised of: Actors, Photography team, location collaborators and sound expert. Coordinating and motivating staff on set. Explaining the actors the style of the movie in order them to approach appropriately every scene, assembling everyone's talent.

Selecting the appropriate music, compositors and soundtrack.
