First Anecdote
Due to my lack -0 more or less- of contacts in the industry, in
order to find Ucronia´s team and crew, I had to stick dozens and
dozens of ads all over Valencia; Universities, Bus Stops, Stadiums, lampposts... stuck so many advertisements that the police called my attention several
times, warning me that if they´d see another ad they would fine me. This
forced me to get rid of the last 50 ads. At least I had been able to
paste 450 ...
Second Anecdote
The fight scenes were very hard, long and
complicated to shoot. In the park scene, I was kicked so hard in the
stomach by my friend and stuntman Tony that my rib was broken .Despite of
this, and thanks to the constant adrenaline rushes I had while I was fighting, I was able to continue directing and acting until 4 hours after the accident happened.
Third Anecdote
The first
scene of the film lasts about 15 seconds. But it took about 4 hours to shoot.
Fourth Anecdote
Love
letters: I received several letters from one of my old fellow gim
colleagues when the movie was released. As crazy as it seems, the emails were
not very positive and included several threats. This guy didn´t want me to "share the Master´s Martial Arts secrets" through a screen. The letters didn´t have any effect on me... but provided a very interesting anecdote!
